Symposium "Dance - Space - Artists Residencies"
Current activities
More than 80 participants discussed the Pro and Contra of Residencies for Dancers and Choreographers.
Project description
What specific conditions and opportunities do residency programmes offer for dance artists? Tanzplan Deutschland, a project funded by the Kulturstiftung des Bundes (Federal Cultural Foundation), and Akademie Schloss Solitude would like to reflect on this question at a symposium with cultural studies experts, artists, architects, and representatives of cultural institutions.
From February 22 to 24, 2007, at the Akademie Schloss Solitude, the relationship between artistic practice and social relevance of residency programmes will be discussed. The symposium will analyze the relationship of the space designed by the dancer and its effect on the beholder, and the concrete space that residencies can offer to artists.
Please register by January 31, 2007, with Marieanne Roth (tanz@akademie-solitude.de). Free admission.
