The new website (first as a prototype) Digital Dance Atlas is online.
It is necessary for the Tanzplan Deutschland, to bring artists and pedagogues, politicians in the towns, regions, and on the federal level, places of training, and associations, to one table and to persuade them to enter new cooperations where previously there was little contact. Thus alliances are being forged between those active in dance, the public, and local and regional cultural politics, so that good artistic ideas and cultural policies can be established on a broader social foundation.
The Berlin office of the non-profit Tanzplan Deutschland e.V. organises this dialogue, brings together theory and practice, keeps encouraging exchange and dialogue, and arranges symposia.
The first symposium addresses the topic of "artist-in-residence programmes," a focus of the local Tanzplans. It is a cooperation with Akademie Schloss Solitude and will take place February 22 to 24, 2007, in Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart.
