This advanced training is designed for specialist modern/contemporary and classical dance teachers. Shannon Moreno and Farley Johansson have been invited to lead the training sessions.
Training will focus on expanding the knowledge of basic floor work and contemporary partnering skills, developing partnering skills through talking and showing different ways to approach bodies, how to give and take weight, bringing an awareness of how to use the strength of our bones to support weight rather than always 'muscling' through movements with forced effort, and on time for questions and discussion and encouraging dialogue between the different schools to assist an exchange of ideas and information.

CV's
Shannon Moreno
was born in Vancouver, Canada and completed her ballet training at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet Professional School and Rudra Bejart Ballet in Switzerland. She has danced at the Gothenburg Opera Ballet, Sweden, the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Germany, with LinkDance and Wen Wei Dance in Vancouver, Canada and has worked with choreographers including Christopher Bruce, Mats Ek, Richard Wherlock, Maurice Bejart, Youri Vamos, Robert North, Peter Bingham, David Earle and Judith Marcuse. From 2000 to 2006 she worked in Vancouver as a freelance dance teacher, dancer and choreographer, teaching at Simon Fraser University, at Harbour Dance and at various private schools in Canada, Germany and Brazil. In 2003 she founded the Science Friction (SF) company together with Farley Johansson, with whom she shares the company’s artistic directorship, to devote herself to developing and performing contemporary dance. Shannon Moreno has been ballet mistress and choreographic assistant to Marco Santi at the Stadttheater Osnabrück ballet since the 2008/09 season.

Farley Johansson studied classical and contemporary ballet and modern dance at the School of Dance in New Zealand. He has worked with the following companies: Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Kinesis Dance, Wen Wei Dance, Movent, The Holy Body Tattoo, Royal New Zealand Ballet and Ballet Victoria, Canada. His career as a performer has led him to Germany, Canada, the USA, New Zealand, Australia, Venezuela, Columbia and Brazil. He has taught dance at Wen Wei Dance, Studio Marameo and other private schools in Canada, Brazil and Germany and is co-artistic director of Science Friction. Since the 2009/10 season he has also been a member of the Staatstheater Kassel.1662
