Tanzplattform Deutschland
The biennial “Tanzplattform Deutschland” is one of the most important events in Europe for the presentation of current developments in contemporary dance. Each time, it is presented in a different German city. The “Tanzplattform” is also a forum where artists, producers, representatives of cultural institutions, and other experts can meet and discuss matters of interest to them.
Due to budget limitations, many dancers and choreographers have only been able to attend the “Tanzplattform” during the period of their own performances, and have therefore not been able to take advantage of the discussion forums. Hence, as part of the “Tanzplan Deutschland” programme, the Kulturstiftung des Bundes will provide additional funds for qualified applicants for travel and lodging in 2006, 2008, and 2010.
The next Tanzplattform Deutschland takes place in Dresden in 2012.
