Barbara Passow according to Jooss-Leeder
It was intended for the research project to develop direct links with German traditions and history. Barbara Passow worked with students at the Laban Centre in London using the Jooss-Leeder technique. Passow is closely linked to the teachings of Michael Diekamp, who was trained in dance pedagogy by Kurt Jooss. Passow herself trained at the Folkwang School and danced, among others, for the Cullberg Ballet company and for Pina Bausch. One feature of this research project was that Reinhild Hoffmann reconstructed sections of her own choreographies, which reflected the work of her teacher Kurt Jooss. This took place concurrently with the workshops in January 2010 and allowed the project to focus on the relationship between training and artistic work. An exchange between Passow and Kurt Joosss daughter Anna Markart was also possible.

The workshops took place from 11-28 January 2010. The DVD was filmed from 22-25 January 2010.

Quote from Anna Bergstrm from the student discussion from 23 January 2010:
With Barbara Passow I experienced very much clarity with space, timing and music.2052
